Barbequed Lentils

 

Serves:  6

2 cups lentils, washed 1/4 cup molasses
1 TB vinegar 1/2 tsp salt
6 cups water 1 large onion
    1 - 28 oz can tomatoes
1/3 cup ketchup    
3 TB brown sugar    
1 pkg. bacon, cubed    
2 TB prepared mustard    

 

  • Simmer lentils, vinegar and water for 30 minutes then drain.

  • Add remaining ingredients and mix.

  • Bake in casserole dish or roster at 350F for 1 - 1/2 to 2 hours.
